Wise, the global technology company building the best way to move money around the world, is making it even easier for Singapore customers to fund their Wise account and transactions with its newest Linked Bank Account feature.
Wise customers in Singapore (or with a bank account in Singapore) will be able to complete transfers and payments seamlessly without leaving the app, as the new feature pulls sums from the user’s linked local bank account. Powered by eGIRO, users simply need to link their bank account once and approve the arrangement. Plus, once you link your bank account to Wise you can instantly complete international transfers (depending on where the money is going) and top up your multi-currency account balances.
Importantly, users have total control over this feature and Wise will never draw funds from a customer’s bank account without their instruction. For added security, customers can set their own transfer limits and for every transaction sent to a new recipient, Wise will ask for two-factor authentication via a text or push notification.
Wise users have been able to fund their transactions with PayNow, card or bank transfers, and today’s latest feature further enhances convenience for customers as they won’t have to fuss with reference numbers or incur additional costs from card payments.
Currently, users can link their Wise account to DBS/POSB, OCBC and UOB accounts, with plans to support more banks in the future.
