Wise rolls out PHP account details in the Philippines, making it easier for customers to receive money
Manila, Philippines, 12 February 2025 – Wise, the global technology company building the best way to move and manage the world’s money, has launched PHP Account Details for its customers in the Philippines. This feature benefits users, such as freelancers, international students and expats in the country, to receive payments in Philippine Pesos (PHP) with zero fees into their Wise Account, providing a simpler and more convenient way to manage their finances without needing a traditional bank account or local address.
The roll out of PHP account details is the latest step in Wise’s ongoing mission to make international payments fast, affordable and transparent for everyone. Since launching in the market in May 2024, Wise has continuously introduced new features to help Filipinos to move and manage their finances across the globe. Recently, Wise gained direct access to InstaPay, the Philippines’ instant payments infrastructure, enabling instant payments (under 20 seconds) to PHP, allowing users to fund their Wise Account and card transactions quickly and conveniently via bank transfers or e-wallets like Gcash and Maya.
With the introduction of PHP account details, Filipinos – including freelancers, international students and expats in the Philippines – can receive local payments from friends, family, or employers just like a resident, giving them a seamless way to manage their Philippine pesos.
The addition of PHP account details also brings the total account details available to 23, including GBP, AUD, CAD, EUR, GBP, HUF, NZD, SGD, USD, and TRY. These account details are unique to each individual, allowing users to share them with your friends, companies or customers to receive money globally.

Today, Wise customers in the Philippines can hold, send and receive money in over 40+ currencies instantly, with no holding fees or minimum balance required. They can also use the Wise Card to spend internationally in over 160 countries or online, at the mid-market rate (the rate that you’ll usually see on Google) with no hidden fees.
