Wise announces a new Pix-based capability for international customers. The company now enables foreigners to send money to people and businesses in Brazil using only a Pix key. Through this initiative, Wise brings the benefits of its participation to Brazil’s Pix network, unmatched speed, reliability, and cost-efficiency, directly to customers outside of the country.
Eligible non-resident customers (whether Brazilian nationals or foreigners) can now send money to individuals and businesses in Brazil using only a Pix key (such as phone number, email, CPF or CNPJ), without needing local bank account details nor the full information from the recipient. Customers sending money from abroad can transfer funds via Pix key through their Wise account in any of the 40+ currencies available, without needing a Brazilian bank account or CPF themselves.
International senders gain immediate access to Brazil’s fastest domestic payment method, resulting in lower transfer times, transparent pricing, and a seamless experience. It’s the exact same fast, effortless service that Brazilian customers have grown to love and expect from Wise, now expanded to our global network.
Whether it’s a Brazilian expat sending support to family using a phone number, an international company paying a local freelancer via their CNPJ, or an individual covering remote property maintenance in Brazil, this feature eliminates traditional banking hurdles. International senders can now fulfill real-world payment needs quickly without navigating complex bank codes or multi-day transfer delays.

Today, Wise’s unique global infrastructure supports payments across more than 40 currencies, backed by 80+ licenses and 9 markets with direct access to domestic payment systems. In Q1 FY26, Wise helped almost 12 million active customers move $69 billion internationally, up 26% year-over-year, while total balances held in Wise accounts grew to $41.2 billion. Wise continues to expand its reach and lower costs globally: its Send Money product is now live in Chile, and 77% of all transfers arrive instantly (under 20 seconds) at an average price of just 0.50%."
